Vlasta Jašćur: Bioenergy and Conventional Medicine
As early as 2001, Vlasta Jašćur was a lecturer at the 2nd Croatian Congress on Cooperation Between Conventional and Complementary Medicine, organized by HUPED and held at the Zagreb Institute of Public Health. This shows that her collaboration with conventional medicine has been part of her work from the very beginning.

What Happened
In May 2001, specifically on May 26 and 27, the 2nd Croatian Congress on Cooperation Between Conventional and Complementary Medicine was held in Zagreb, with international participation. The congress is organized by HUPED, the Croatian Association for Natural, Energy, and Spiritual Medicine, and this edition was held at the Zagreb Institute of Public Health. Vlasta Jašćur was one of the lecturers.
This photograph, from Vlasta’s personal archive, was taken at the event itself and shows her at the podium.
Why This Matters
The congress on cooperation between conventional and complementary medicine isn’t a one-off event. It’s organized by HUPED, the Croatian Association for Natural, Energy, and Spiritual Medicine, which has to date held 16 international editions of the congress, with the patronage of the City of Zagreb and, in later years, the Ministry of Health. Taking part in such an early, second edition of the congress shows that Vlasta Jašćur has been collaborating with conventional medicine from the very beginning of her work, roughly twenty years before the topic of complementary medicine became more widely known in Croatia.
For Vlasta, who has been practicing bioenergy for 38 years, since 1988, when she began her training with healer Zdenko Domančić, this is one of the early steps in a long-standing, recognized body of work that continues to this day. Over the course of her career she has appeared on more than 100 television shows, and she has also been invited to work outside Croatia, in Austria, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
Bioenergy Therapy as a Complement to Conventional Medicine
Vlasta Jašćur bases her work on collaboration with conventional medicine, not on replacing it. Bioenergy therapy is used as a complement to treatment carried out by conventional medicine, respecting the diagnoses and therapies determined by a doctor.
